First round access information for the 51st GRAMMY Awards has been mailed to all records labels registered to participate in the GRAMMY Online Entry Process. User ID and password information are contained in this mailing. The first round is for recordings released between Oct. 1, 2007–July 31, 2008 and first round entries are due on July 23. Renewal notices have gone out to members who have not yet renewed their membership and June 30 is the last day to renew before being suspended. To renew your Texas Chapter membership by credit card, call 512.328.7997. Members may also renew by sending a check to the Texas Chapter at 3601 S. Congress Ave., G-500, Austin, Texas 78704.

Dec. 1: Opportunity for Academy members o purchase 51st GRAMMY Awards telecast tickets begins.
Dec. 1: Last day to join The Academy in order to receive an invitation to GRAMMY Awards telecast.
Dec. 1: Last day to join The Academy as a voting member in order to vote on the final GRAMMY Awards ballot.

This program presents an overview of possibilities and opportunities in the music
industry to high school students around the country. Held on university campuses,
this unique program acquaints students with music- related careers, provides a mentoring
experience for the students, and promotes quality education in the schools.

MusiCares Hurricane Relief
In response to the devastation and displacement wrought by Hurricane Katrina, MusiCares
and The Recording Academy established the MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund, a multi-million
dollar commitment of charitable funds to be distributed to musicians and other music

Academy All Access is a national program of benefits and discounts available to
Recording Academy members. These benefits have been compiled specifically with music
professionals in mind. This program was designed to help you whether you are on

The Texas Chapter offers internships for college students preparing for careers
in the music business. All participants must be studying music or a music-industry
related major and be preparing for a career in the music industry. The Texas Chapter
works with Austin Community College District, Southwest Texas State University and
the University of Texas internship programs. If you are interested in the internship
